cause chunni's are just awkward af it's hilarious and is meant to be. A guy who will become a dog for pocket change to deck out his chuuni room or will play edgelord in conversations as he becomes the Eminence in Shadow is meant to be laughed at. his kills are cool to follow but he is meant to be a character you laugh at as the show takes the piss on the cliches of the genre as Cid remains oblivious that it isn't all pretend and it's more than random bandits. also there is no such thing as being too mature to find things awkward lol
