2020 Anime Recap (Patreon)

So this is a two-part video being Winter and Spring followed by Summer and Fall. As usual, I pick my favourites from each season and do a big season roundup sort of deal. But like with many of my larger projects as of late I've changed the style up in hopes to feel more personal and me, which honestly I really dig it. Usually, I'd just go all clip editing for these but since I'm fearful of copyright more this year and honestly just been enjoying more human approaches to videos(more me and fewer clips), I decided it's a live-action recording overall. What I did was give each section a unique background and slate with a brief selection of clips as I break down in a long enough way to showcase why I love the anime in question. At first, I thought it would feel less if that makes sense but truthfully after working on part 1 and almost having it done I much prefer this approach. Not sure if season roundup will become this way as well but the yearly roundups like this I really dig. For having a lack of clips the direction I took may not go appreciated by as many but took longer if you can believe to edit. I'll also add the reason this is two parts is each part is over 15 minutes so yeah. While I don't flash the viewers with effects I prefer me being the dominating presence with my editing keeping everything clean and precise.
