Rimuru is still not strong enough to beat Veldora. So far, the only characters you've seen (and whose power isn't a spoiler) who are on par or stronger than Veldora are as follow: - Milim (Veldora's niece, who inherited all of the raw power of her father, aka Veldora's stronger older brother) - Guy Crimson (Red Demon Primordial Rouge, and first True Demon Lord in history) - Ramiris (but only in her adult form, so right now she can't) - Dagruel (the giant demon lord dude that Veldora said was an old rival of his and that they enjoy sparring) - Velzard (the Frost True Dragon who is Veldora's eldest sister, and who was seen in season 2 as the partner of Guy Crimson)

I'd argue that current Ramiris is also much stronger than Veldora. Remember, when she infiltrated the big meeting after Rimuru became a demon lord at the start of second half of season 2, she declared that she could easily beat Veldora with a single punch. Then Rimuru placed her in front of him and the moment she realized his identity, she clearly fell asleep whilest standing up - as indicated by her eyes rolling back and her falling over backwards. That means she's obviously one of the strongest demon lords and is not at all scared of Veldora.
