Few things are more frightening than unexpectedly finding out what a paladin will fall for. Hopefully Necromancer can cast feather fall on him.

Honestly I hadn't thought even considered Paladin would do this. It's a very sweet thing to downgrade from Paladin to Fighter-without-bonus-feats.

The moment every paladin player lives for. When you get to put aside Law and Good and choose what's Right. I've played a few devout characters without having that moment. Maybe next time. The Right decision being taking a chance to punch Fighter in the face, obviously. Totally worth it

I keep on thinking on how I would try to justify this to a GM. "I have been making headway toward saving Necromancer's soul, of course I am defending her from Fighter. Who can put a price on a soul? Besides, Fighter is clearly just doing this just to mess with me. Three enemy spellcasters and he goes straight for the one that I have been having a character arc with? We should have went for the succubus first like I wanted, she is the one fondling the gate right now."

The love you feel for Necromancer is stronger than the devotion to your oath. Search your feelings Paladin, you will know it to be true. And let's be honest, killing Fighter is simply eliminating the real BBEG for the endgame down the road.
