It’s all about context. When you need to fuck up one guy in particular over and over again, Eldritch Blast. When you need to clear a room, Fireball. Or, to paraphrase, “An Eldritch Blast may have your name on it, but a Fireball is addressed ‘To Whom It May Concern.’” (I know you *can* target a different creature with each beam, but let’s be realistic, 99% of the time you’re going to be slamming one guy for that sweet 4d10+20, assuming you hit all your shots, or as much of it as your level allows.)

My warlock doesn’t even have agonizing blast! And hasn’t cast eldritch blast in four sessions! Hahaha! I mean he still has a wis and int of 8…so…fair.

If Warlock had a Fiend patron he could have Eldritch Blast *AND* Fireball. Such are the regrets of those who dump Int. Also, the best single target spell is Witch Bolt; 10d12 lightning damage from a 1st level spell, don't mind if I do.

It's nice to see these two can be in the same room together after what happened at the hot baths with Thief...Unless Wizard is just biding her time and deciding between unleashing Fireball or Disintegration on the Warlock...
