A paladin may call upon his divine bond to enhance his “weapon.”
In the same way that all drow are chaotic good outsiders who just want a chance to show the world that not all of their kind are truly evil, succubi are just bad girls waiting for a good guy to show them the error of their ways. Right?

Look, I understand that redeeming the villain can be a cool storyline. And redeeming a villain that happens to be supernaturally sexy is a nice bonus. It’s a conquest and a conquest! It’s doing good and getting laid! It’s ever so slightly contrived!
Let’s face it: there are only so many things you can do with a seduction demon in a narrative sense. You can fall to their wicked ways, get tricked once and then regret it, or smite them. The only other option is to win the bad girl over to Team Good Guy. You’ve got to remember though, demons are the literal personifications of evil. You can talk about alignment being relative, but if you’re playing in any flavor D&D then these things aren’t just aligned with evil on a philosophical level. They’re raw, elemental, black as pitch, puregrade dag nasty texts-in-movie-theaters evil. Just because succubi happen to have nice racks, it does not mean that they’re any different than a bloody-handed babau or a Skeksis-looking vrock. I don’t think anybody would try and fuck one of those freak shows onto the side of righteousness. And if you think about it, a succubus ought to be especially resistant to the attempt. That’s its main thing, after all!
I dunno. Maybe I’m a little harsh on Paladin there. He’s trying to do the right thing. But in my opinion, no amount of infusing l’il Paladin with divine might is going to redeem a demon.
What do you guys think? Have you ever tried to use the powers of—ahem—love and kindness to turn a monster to the path of righteousness? Did it work? Dit it feel contrived? Let’s hear it in the comments!
