Welcome to the world of Xodarris, and the City of Jerigor, which is tucked into that mountain in the background of this panel.  It'll take a bit for our story to get into the city, but in the meantime let's talk about these mountains! They're formed from softer rock, similar to limestone, that has been worn down by storms and changes in sea level over time, leaving the unique formations, as well as a network of caverns and tunnels under the city itself.

Xodarris is a ringed planet, with a trio of moons that orbit outside and in the the biggest gap between asteroid rings. The two outside moons are a similar size, and one inside the rings is substantially smaller. Depending on the time of year, the ring shadow creates a band of colder temperatures and unpredictable storms as it travels across the planet.
