March ’23 Update (Patreon)

This month I’m going to be making the SSR1 Alpha design a bit more accessible, and I’ve got some exciting news from a major adult video site adding TCode support (ie SSR1, OSR2, SR6) to their player.

As you will know I am currently bringing a new device to you guys called SSR1, which is a single axis stroker robot like The Handy or Kiiroo Keon. I want to create a device that has superior performance, but also something that is as customisable as OSR2 and SR6.

In January I released a parts list and a set of STLs for the SSR1 mechanism. In February I really went for it and I produced an outer case for the device, for which I have also released the STLs. For those early adopters amongst you this is everything you will need to put together an SSR1.

I was pretty burned out at the end of last month so for the sake of my own sanity I intend to take it easier this month. SSR1 is going through an early Alpha stage much like SR6 did two years ago. What I am going to do is start to flesh out the build information for this new mechanism so that it’s easier for you guys to put one together.

I’m also going to take the opportunity to have a closer look at the OSR2/SR6 firmware, which is long overdue.

The other significant bit of news this month is that SLR, who have an enormous selection of scripted adult VR video content, have added TCode functionality to DeoVR, their video player. It’s a really slick implementation that will work with any TCode device, so SSR1, and of course OSR2 and SR6.

It's currently only on the PC version and serial-based, and it's only single axis. They assure me that support for the WiFi version of TCode is coming though, as is support for multi-axis scripts.
