Hi Everyone,

This month there's some new hardware for OSR2/SR6, a quick update on my brushless motor work, and some exciting news for all TCode device users.

Those of you on my Maker ($8) tier will have already seen my recent release of a selection of parts that make my machines compatible with the Feel Stroker toys. These are the fleshlight-like toys that fit into the Kiiroo Keon. Classic fleshlight has been the standard for a long time, but I think it's good to give you guys some extra options The release includes an alternate ring for the twist, and an alternate basic receiver that will fit onto either the OSR2 or SR6.

I've learned my lesson when it comes to December: it's not a short month but it's a very fast one! This month's release will be something minor, similar to last month. Most likely another alternate receiver. The other reason for this is that I want to devote a lot more time to my brushless motor development work.

For those of you who are unaware, my current project is to develop a homebuild multi-axis machine similar to the OSR2 that makes use of brushless gimbal motors instead of servos. Servos are definitely the achilles heel of my current multi-axis machines because they are really noisy. What I want to demonstrate is that I can make a machine that's a lot quieter, but not much harder than the SR6 to put together.

My benefactors ($16 tier) are of course getting an inside look at this project as it comes together. My devstream channel on discord has seen a lot of posts on this in the last month or so and the parts for my first prototype are on the 3D printer as I type this. I've made a lot of progress in November on the electronics and software side of things and I will of course be going into some detail on that in my Dispatches newsletter in the next day or so. Thanks benefactors!

For my Supporter ($2) tier this month I will be livestreaming on Wednesday 14th December at 11pm GMT (5pm EST). My current plan is to do a quick demo of the brushless motor gearbox that I'm assembling, assuming that it works! Do come and join me.

Finally I have some exciting news.

I've recently been developing a positive relationship with sexlikereal.com (SLR). They have informed me that they will soon be adding TCode support to their app, which means you will be able to use your OSR2 or SR6 with their scripted content. They have a huge selection of scripted content available on their site. It's single axis, but they are interested in implementing support for multi-axis scripts going forward. I'll keep you guys informed on this story as it develops.

This is a really exciting time!

All the best,

Tempest
