Hi Everyone,

I'm posting the August update a few days early to reassure you that I'm okay and I'm back to my usual work schedule. I was definitely burned out and suffering from stress, but I have been away on holiday for a week and it's made a real difference. I have some really cool stuff to share with you guys in August.

Over the last few days I have been working on a new version of my random stroker plugin for Virt-a-Mate. This uses a much newer algorithm, so the range of movements it can generate is much wider than the old version. Think of this as the equivalent jump up in movements as the OSR2 to the SR6. I also want to build in some kind of coherent but unpredictable progression from slower movements to faster ones over time.

I intend to release this plugin to the Maker ($8) tier sometime in August.

On the hardware side, I also have a fun alternate part for the SR6 that I want to get released in August or September.

For those of you on the Supporter ($2) tier I have a really interesting interview livestream lined up in a couple of weeks. I will confirm the date of this on Discord in the next few days, so keep an eye out for that. I will also be posting that to Patreon afterwards of course, so don't worry if you can't watch it live.

Finally, I will be getting out my Benefactor ($16) tier dispatches post for June and July sometime in the next week. I've got some interesting stuff on the technical side of random stroke generation, but I'm also going to talk a bit about some of the lessons I've learned about creativity under pressure over the last few weeks.

It's good to be back guys; thanks as always for your support and confidence. Happy building!

Tempest.
