Hi Guys, here's my update for April.

This month's Maker ($8) release, as promised, will be the T-wist 4 for SR6.

This has taken a little thought because in certain combinations of movements the new, larger mechanism comes into conflict with the old pitcher links. I have had to devise some new, angled, links to prevent this from happening. These links also presented an opportunity to tidy up the wire harness that connects the twist servo to the enclosure by running it through a conduit.

The new arrangement seems to work very well. Expect the part STLs to land in the next few days. The part list and build process will be the same as the OSR2 version.

For my Supporter ($2) tier this month I will be livestreaming on Monday 11th April at 11pm BST (5pm EDT). I have had some questions about controlling a vibrator using an ESP32, so I will make this the subject of the livestream. I will post the livestream, and an edited video afterwards.

Lastly I am going to shill my Benefactor ($16) tier. This is for those of you who want to go the extra mile in supporting my work, and for this you will get an exclusive view of what I'm working on each month.

I keep an up-to-date development stream on discord where I post images and short videos of my ongoing work. I summarise this in my Dispatches Benefactor newsletter each month, in which I go into some depth (usually about 2-3k words) about how and why I've done what I've done. Some of these projects you will have seen, like T-wist, but there are some other ideas that I'm developing behind the scenes that only my Benefactors get to see at this stage.

Going forward to next month I want to get my OSR2 and SR6 build documents up to date, so expect to see those re-released as a new "start here" post. I would also like to take another look at the VaM plugin and see if I can get twist implemented again with the new algorithms.

I also have one or two side projects that might surface if I get time.

All the best,

Tempest

It has been quite the journey so far. I am always blown away by the improvements made.
