The Drive Episode Discussion (Patreon)

As the first adventure of 2024 comes to a close, we slow down with Spike and Adorkable Twilight driving home. Their car filled with goods.  Consumerism at it's finest! Spike has a kayak now and we're making good use of Twilight getting that minivan (See I told you it would be important).  It's going to be used a lot and make so many more things possible for the series, more then what we could do with a train.  This allows them the freedom to stop in locations and do things that they couldn't in a train.

Another thing of note is that it is raining on the drive home. As we went through the past few episodes on their trip, the weather started out sunny, then got cloudy, and now it's raining later in the day.  Typical weather of their region for this time of year. 

Some notes, they appear to have stopped and gotten Hay Burger for the drive home. Yum! Lot's of other little details for the keen eyed.  

A small conversation about peace and being at peace with someone... family.  It's that sense of a child sleeping peacefully in the back seat of a car, handing trust over to whomever is driving.  Same sense here with Spike and Twilight.  A little moment of Spike thinking back and tying his peace and inner calm with Twilight at that moment. Also imagine how frightening it must be when Twi closes her eyes to sneeze while driving a hunk of metal! Scary!!
