Continuing our Sunday Sketch!  2nd week in a row... well... this isn't so much a sketch I guess.  Want to read a life story below?  Stop now if you don't!  It's a true story!

(Guest writer - Girl drama below warning!)

After a long week of working 10 hours days every day, I had no time to do anything beyond work and I really didn't like it.  I was so looking forward to the weekend.  I started Saturday by going to run some errands, grab some groceries and supplies, then head home to draw.  Well . . . When I returned home I noticed oil was EVERYWHERE where my car usually parks.  So I had to remember back to the only I knew thing I knew how to do when it came to cars, check the oil!  So I checked and saw all my oil had literally poured out of the car overnight and made a mess I had to clean!

But I had bigger worries, if there was no oil, my car's components could potentially go kaput! So I raced over to an oil shop and tried to explain my plight.  The guy listened and offered me a warm waiting room and sugar cookies while I waited looking out at the frozen landscape outside.  Ten minutes later he said things were looking bad... real bad.  He undid some car stuff and said everything was screwed in tight and looked good, but he had no idea why the oil was all over the place and leaking beneath the car.  He filled me up with more oil and said to go to a mechanic's shop or car dealership shop as quick as possible!  He patched up what he could and then I expected to pay him a hefty sum of money for his trouble... but NO.  He waved me to drive out of the garage and I asked him what I owe him?  He said just pass the kindness along!

I thought... wait... is this some set up for a tv show?  Did this really just happen?  Yes it did!!! He just performed some work and filled my car full of oil and didn't charge me!! This is the kind of stuff that only happens in the movies, right?

So I raced to the car mechanic garage place and left my car there.  We will see what happens as they won't open to do diagnostics till Monday.  I had to get a ride back with a friend as she manuevured the icy roads home.  So now I am car-less, have work Monday, and soon will probably have to pay a ton of money once they find out what is wrong with my car.  Going to have to get a rental vehicle on Sunday.

The point of this story was just to point out how nice the oil change shop guy was.  It goes to show that nice people and helpful people are still out there.  Sometimes things seem dark, but maybe you will be that beacon of kindness and hope someone needs. Pass it on to them.  Hopefully they will do the same.  Just as the oil guy said, just pass the kindness along!  I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!

That’s fantastic! I hope your car is able to be fixed without too much dipping into the funds. That was a nice life story provided things end well still, haha. I like how that was a story of kindness and yet Starlight looks like she is getting ready to do something of the opposite variety lol. Enjoy your Sunday and hope everyone stays warm during the impending winter storm we are about to have if y’all live in the US.

Can agree! Having kind, handy people like that in your life is an absolute blessing!
