Longtime Friend Episode Discussion (Patreon)

It finally happens!  Starlight and Spike run into each other and find out they both know Gray! What a shock!  So if you are behind, Starlight is sort of dating Gray.  She's had a crush on him from work for awhile now, and not too long ago, they started dating. They even smooched! Spike first met Gray in this one-off comic episode awhile back, and ever sense, they've been fishing buddies.  That probably has something to do with Gray having a boat and Spike wishing he had a boat to go fishing in.

Something not shown in this episode is that Spike actually brought Lily Valley with him.  For some reason, she was cut out of the final version of this episode, but appears in the following episode.

RANDOM FACT: Did you know Gray first appeared three years ago and initially it was Twilight who had a crush on him (kinda).  He looks visually a bit different back then, but you can check it out here.
