The Big Library Episode Discussion (Patreon)

You know how I always say I never know what to expect from the community on whether they will love something or not?  Okay... This episode when I made it, I would have told you 120% that this was going to be a hit.  In my mind it hit all the marks of being drawn okay, nice details, rather simple plot, and a cute ending!  I thought for SURE this was going to be a big hit for the series in 2022.  

I couldn't have been more wrong! lol! It got a low rating on Derpibooru, low marks on Tumblr, and a bit lower than average on Twitter!  Lol!  Consider myself shocked.  Now that you know that, I will go a little into detail about this episode.

So we had previously had an episode where Twilight was going to the "big library" which is in the nearby bigger city of Fort Vanhoover.  This is the first time in this series we've shown downtown Fort Vanhoover and by golly, did we forget to add ponies and activity in the city shot, lol!  The building is heavily based on a real library in the real city we parody, Vancouver, Washington. All the buildings are based on real buildings and the green structure in the background of panel one, is the tops of the real life Interstate 5 bridge which separates Cascade State (Washington) and Timberland State (Oregon) from each other. 

On an unrelated note, our version of Ponyville would actually be very close to the location of Gravity Falls from the popular tv show.  Roughly across the river.  Small world. 

It was fun doing different perspectives in this episode and showing some different things.  Panel four we got to include some of our great Patron Pal subscribers and show off their OC's.  Thank you to those who contributed!  We will keep trying to add more of your OC's if you've reached out.  You can keep letting us know your character if you haven't shared already.
