Settling In Episode Discussion (Patreon)

When we have time, we try to go all in.  This story arc is meant to be a big deal, so you will notice the increase in background details.  So here it is, the grand reveal of Spomane, their destination!  We always put a lot of effort into our locations and shockingly, someone in our community. Someone in the community even found the exact location of the hotel Lawrence and Adorkable Twilight are staying at in real life Spokane based on the images you see here.  They used the very generic hotel building in panel two as well as the sign, and noticed the hamburger restaurant in panel five and found the exact location we based it off of with Google Street View!  That is so impressive!  The fans rock!

As for panel one with the sweeping city skyline shot, that is one of my favourites.  Real location names are of course parodied.  

Storywise we build the drama of not seeing the parents for yet another episode.  Lawrence has a good reason and Twilight buys it.  I guess we will find out soon enough.

For those wondering, according to the designer, Lawrence's car's body is based on a fifth generation Buick Regal, but all headlights, rear lights, and other defining features are altered so much to make it a unique design, that it doesn't resemble a Regal in anyway other than profile and shape.  That's for the car nuts out there.
