Hearth's Warming Tree Episode Discussion (Patreon)

I know we showed this episode early here, but I promised I would do an episode discussion on it. 

So the first thing on panel one is the sign.  For reference we looked at National Park signs in the Pacific Northwest to design that sign. There is also an "Equestria Forest Service" badge on the right, but it has no visible details.  

Other fun things is making hoof-prints and marks in the snow.  We've never had deep deep snow in AT&F before, so them going up into the mountains gives us our first chance for full on snow.  Lily and the Apple's SUV appear again in the episode and we were happy to draw some alternative clothing for Applejack and Big Mac.  Oh yeah!  Alternative clothing for Lily and Spike too.  Spike sort of has a long coat thing and Lily has a jacket with poof spots were her hooves, neck, and bottom of the jacket are.  She has some sort of skin-tight pants on and lil' boots.  The reason the boots have "toe" space was on purpose! Okay... no it doesn't.

According to the highway sign in the final panel, they are 12 miles from their location.  Based on the sign, they headed heading westward towards their home.  It also gives official mileage to some major city's shown or talked about in this series such as nearby Fort Vancouver (Vancouver, Washington), Dockland (Portland, Oregon), and Seaddle (Seattle, Washington).
