UPDATED BELOW

Tumblr has continued to see decline after decline, after decline.  If we were to move somewhere else, where would you think we could make a good community?  Most of us in house think Deviant Art is the safest bet as we already have a base there somewhat.  It would be horrible to just drop eveything we've built up at Tumblr, but we've stagnated at around 3,800 followers and our note count daily has been dropping in average (which could be due to people not liking our stories).  If people don't like the stories, it's interesting though they still don't say something or support us with a note anyways, at least I would support creators I like.

For the first time in an episode cycle, we had an episode not hit 100 notes in 72 hours.  That's not good and we're looking like that might happen again.  I guess people aren't interested in Zephyr or Fluttershy.  Just like they weren't interested in Starlight and Spike's road trip, or Twilight having to get a new ride.  It's confusing.  We try to make stories for people to engage with, but they are not.  Are we not making good stories?  The only things we consistently get high ratings at are when we throw Spike, Starlight, and Lily in their little love dance.  Or something with Twilight.  That limits us so much and does the opposite of the wide character storytelling we want to share.

So go ahead, be brutally honest.  What would you do?  Is it time.... we end the series and do something original (knowing that we would shed probably 95% or what we had built up). Of course we don't ask this lightly.  I would much rather we continue this series as there is so much to tell and share and build still. YOU have made us be successful, but things peak and people lose interest.  We had a similar issue last year, but we were able to rebound. I open the forum to you.

UPDATE : I wrote this and realized how doom and gloom it seemed.  That wasn't my point.  There is no intention to stop the series to make things clear.  There is no intention to leave Tumblr anytime soon, and overall, as long as we have Patron's like you, we are doing great!  Things aren't bad and they aren't falling apart, lol.  Sorry if I originally made it sound like that.  I didn't mean it too.

Honestly, Tumblr is a dying platform. The fact that the follower count isn't growing and the number of notes on posts is falling is tied to this I believe. You mentioned DeviantArt. At some point there was talk of putting old comics up there I think. Was that started, half done, or completed? It may be time to switch focus to DeviantArt instead of Tumblr. You could still post to Tumblr as well as deviantArt. I just think numbers are falling in general on Tumblr as the userbase shrinks.

Thank you. Yeah, we love our Deviant Art even though it isn't updated. Been too busy just trying to keep up with three episodes a week and real life/careers/family. But the ultimate goal is to get caught up on Deviant Art still, then release new episodes there. I guess the only way to do that would be to take time off and finish that work.

I think tumblr is not that frequented any more. So it's either Twitter and deviantart or - if those are no option - depibooru. Though I think derpi is restricted to the core MLP fandom while Twitter and DA might get a bit wider audience.

Twitter will be a no go because of the lack of interaction and other reasons. We are lucky to get a wide range thanks to Tumblr beyond the core MLP. There is also that chance when the new MLP series comes, we get a further boost from new fans as the characters will remain (but be different in the new series).
