As I said, I am away till Thursday next week.   I figured I could make a game out of this and make it fun.  So pull out your Carmen San Diego knowledge and dust off your geography knowledge.  Anyone want to guess where I am?  Here is hint on from earlier.  Whoever gets it right will win NOTHING! :D  Okay... maybe something, like a high five.

Now that would be too research heavy for the series, lol! This terrain is far too dry for the Cascade Range and most of the Rockies. Hmm, the road even looks a tad sun-baked.

Ahh ok then :) then I dunno where you are then cept maybe in the Appilcahian (sp)? In the east of America :)

Looks like the Sierra Nevadas to me, on the basis that it looks similar (albeit not the same) to part of the path to Tahoe. Of course, it does look a little drier than any point I actually hit on that path, but California is not exactly the wettest state. I have no doubt there's suitably dry-looking areas with a view of the Sierra Nevadas.

(I don't think the level of tree cover is right for the Nevada side of the mountains, but I seldom go past Stateline, so I don't have a lot of experience with actually seeing the other side of the mountains.)
