Backstage for Lynx, #22 of the 52 Project.

In the anime "Darker than Black", there's a character named Mao whose power is that he can transfer his mind into a cat... except he got stuck in one. I don't remember how, his body was probably killed or something. He had a device that let him keep most of his mind; I think it used a cloud connection to a server or something. One time it was cut off and he ran around being an ordinary cat.

What would a person with that power do if they didn't have the ability to store their human mind outside their cat body? What would happen to their human mind?

I absolutely love Slither, by the way -- a villain who's so addicted to keeping secrets that he uses a code name that has nothing whatsoever to do with his powers. Also very fond of Executive Dysfunction.

I did as much research on cat psychology as I could find, but obviously, we're limited in what we know about how their brains work. Maybe someday we'll find out that cats can read, if trained. I doubt it, though.
