Hello Everyone,

I’ve been trying to write an elaborate and elegant intro to this post for the past few hours, but each time the tone has felt whiny or needlessly wordy. With that said, I’m just going to cut to the chase and fill in the blanks afterward by answering any questions you may have.

I will be suspending my campaign for the month of September, and then I plan to revert my account to patron-only by October, effectively removing my campaign and placing it on “indefinite suspension.”

Why are you canceling your campaign?

There are many reasons, but the most important is that having a monthly deadline to adhere to in addition to my full-time job is very stressful. In the past few months, I’ve felt that if I wasn’t working on Patron commissions, sponsored pinups, or Mice Tea, patrons weren’t getting their money’s worth. This is probably not how many of you would have felt about it, but that’s how it felt to me, and I’m a firm believer that perception is reality.

With less stress I hope to find the time and energy to do things outside of my art, such as improve my health and home, which both could really use my attention. I’ll also be able to focus more on personal works without a cloud of guilt and a looming deadline hanging overhead.

What about the art and archive links?

I will create a post with a link to my entire Patreon art archive for each tier. During the time that the campaign is suspended in September, you can still browse my posting history and save anything you’d like individually. I will be doing my best to archive the entire Patreon for my own purposes as well. At the end of September, these links will be unavailable.

What about the Commissioner Tier?

Commissions are not going to go away. In fact, I plan to open commissions much more frequently now that I’m ending my campaign. I will also be happy for the ability to work on more finished pieces, as well as some more TF commissions, which I didn’t really have time for when my campaign was active. Commissions have the potential to be stressful as well, but 1) Their deadlines are variable and negotiable, and 2) I’m not forced to take them every single month.

What about Mice Tea?

Mice Tea is still going forward, and in fact I couldn’t be more excited to work on it! In lieu of Patreon income, I’ll be financing the project myself, supplemented with my commission money. I’ll also be moving my game development updates from Patreon to the game’s page on itch.io, in addition to announcing them in the discord channel.

Those who were $5 patrons will receive exclusive access to the next alpha build of the game. For future builds, I will discuss with my developer Gunzil on how we want to handle that, but I’ll be sure to let you know via Discord.

If you want the next build of Mice Tea, it is imperative that you join my Discord server or send me a friend request so that you can receive the link there. My Discord ID is KDhynamo#0001.

What changes will be coming to Discord?

I’m very grateful for those who have supported me financially via Patreon, and for that I think you all deserve to keep your titles. I will also reinstate the titles of those who have previously supported me, even if they don’t as of this post.

I’m going to phase out the patron_parlor channel and possibly also change the mice_tea_feedback channel to a general channel for Mice Tea. Everything else will remain the same.

Regarding recent August pledges

If you are a new patron as of this month and feel that you would like a return on your pledge, please contact me and I will work it out with you. Please bear in mind that if you are refunded, you will not receive the next alpha build of Mice Tea.

What if I still want to support you?

Just hanging around my discord or streams to chat is all the support I could ever ask for. I can’t convey how much more meaningful art is when I have someone to experience it with me. Just being here, sharing my art, and sending me lewd pictures of bunny girls is all I can ever ask for.

If you still want to support me financially, the best way to do so would be via commissions when they are available.

Closing Notes

Incredibly, I’ve been on Patreon for exactly one year. It’s been a great experience overall. I’m proud that I gave it a try and extremely happy that I could meet and grow closer to many people who happen to enjoy my art. To those who have supported me recently as well as those who have supported me from the start, thank you. Thank you all so much!
