June 2018 in Review (Patreon)
Content
Just wanted to check in and give you a quick update on my thoughts for last month and the campaign in general. If you have any questions at any point, please ask away in the comments!
Patreon Commissioner Tier Changes
At the beginning of the year, I had changed the Commissioner tier to a 3 slot limited portrait sketch request. My intention was to reduce the amount of time I spent working on content for patrons so that I could focus more on personal artwork and projects like Mice Tea.
As the months went by, I found myself spending more and more time on these portraits, turning them into outright finished pieces instead. I also started leaving some until the last minute. Since I work a full-time job and can only draw on weekends and certain weekdays, my time is a bit precious and I want to be using it to build more long-term success and interest.
Therefore, July will be the last month I offer portrait sketches. Starting August, I will be dropping the Commissioner tier from $25 to $15, and will offer 50x50 custom emotes instead. I have been making these for one of my patrons for the past several months, and they will allow me to keep a fast pace. I know some have suggested I drop the commissioner tier altogether, but I do not want to stop offering something to the patrons I have who give a little extra.
Mice Tea Content
June was unfortunately a slow month for Mice Tea. Between my writer having a conference to attend and hosting some guests for a convention myself, we weren't able to create enough new story content to justify a new build.
This month we already have the majority of two new scenes written and with that will come a host of sprites and CGs to work on, so look forward to some more content this month!
That's about all I can think of for now. I'll make another post if I remember anything I've forgotten. In the meantime, have a good one!
