The spirit - revisited (Patreon)

The spirit like you've already  seen her in the game(more or less).

I've included a couple of versions in the attachments. If you wonder how she'd look without her red tattoos, wonder no more!  You can download the files individually or pick the rar file which contains all the files in this post.

The angel and devil version I showed earlier were made at the beginning. At that time such drawings mostly ended up in my recycling bin. Luckily I did find a couple of folders which i was using as temporary "storage room" and never cleared out. When checking what was in them I found some other early sketches.

The painted lady felt like a natural choice to pick as our protagonist's catalyst in the story when we decided the earlier angel/devil wasn't going to cut it. The painted lady has a mysterious feel about her and no less important she is a female! You know what that means don't you?!? I haven't told our coder yet... but I have plans for her!

At first I was leaning more towards Katara's version of the painted lady as you can see in the attachments, but not for too long though.

I can't tell you how often I've changed her hat and eyes. When I finally got that the way I wanted to, I had to give her tattoos.... again I did countless versions of which almost all found their way to my recycle bin in the end.

See-through

The see-through dress also gave me a bit of trouble at the beginning. You see, usually I draw a naked body and put the clothes layers on top. Simply changing the transparency of the clothes afterwards would give you a see-through dress. It's easy and since this game is all about girls getting naked a natural way to go about things.

For whatever reason I decided to cut corners that time and didn't even bother to draw her body. It was just a dress and a head. When we decided she should look a bit sexier (by having her dress see-through) I could either draw her entire naked body, or find some other way. In the end I found another way. And that's why I can't show you a naked version ......yet :)

I included the psd version in the attachments so if you have a halfway decent image editor you should be able to play with the layers and get a feeling of how I added the see-through parts afterwards. It's all contained in the "extra" collection of layers.
