Dudes I am so excited for Book 4. Coder here, looking at the artwork again and being super pumped about it. So. Excited.

Like every book (and route), we try to make each one it’s own adventure, and it’s a tough line to walk sometimes — trying to make each one feel both familiar and fresh. 

BUT Book 4 has… a little extra newness, at least for me. There’s so much content possible and it’s honestly overwhelming… but it also feels like there’s shiny, untapped ground to break. It’s going to be crafted with the same loving care, and reckless abandon, that you’ve come to know, and hopefully this will feel like another fun, sexy adventure for you guys too.

Like we've previously established, the beginning and end of each route take 2 months, which gives us the time necessary to give a proper send off and send on(?) to each one, which means you’ll be getting the first build of Book 4 this month! Or, like, two days after. I’m really hoping we get this thing out in good time.

Looking at the new idles and backgrounds again (not even including the new scenes…), I’m blown away by what the artist creates. I feel like, as a group, we should just call him Magic Hands from now on, though he’d probably slap me for suggesting it. Still though. 

As per uzh (I have no idea how to shorten “usual” to the first syllable, but saying “as per usual” feels clunky and work-emaily… fine. whatever. as per usual. there.)

As per usual, there will be a scenic progressive breakdown of the main chick, with plenty of side girl moments along the way, and various hopefully-fun minigames scattered about. 

All of the artwork is now sitting in my figurative hands, the outline for this build is finished, and a small chunk of dialogue is already wrapped up. Things are on fire over here. Ever see creme brulee made? Where they light the sugar on top on fire with a blowtorch to caramelize all the goodness? It's like that. That's what happening here. But it's the whole thing. It's all on fire, even the custard. Oh god it's everywhere

Hope you guys are as excited about getting your hands on it as we are!

So I just updated to 7.8c today - I fear I might be softlocked for good. I am 1 Earthbender training away from the wall in the maze, 1 material away from upgrading my tavern to continue the quests. Game tells me I should check out the labyrinth, but I've been checking it for a good 20 days straight now. Hypnoroom and tavern are useless. Neither Suki nor Smellerbee are in the village. Got any headers what might still work? Else I'll have to jump back 10 or 20 saves I've even bothered to get all my crabs to level 99.

Just sent you a pm. Btw I'm having trouble locating the place where this bug pops up. You're playing the slave route, right? Could you describe it differently, or perhaps describe the route from when you enter the maze? For example up,up, right,up etc

I'm playing the Love route. And sure. Basically - up in a straight line, break through the wall, then up, left, left, up, up, left You have a scenario where you need to escape from a cell, so you remove a brick from the wall and crawl through. It's the cell exactly above that one. Best chances: Click the lock.
