We've prepared a progress update for everyone to see regarding the development so far with Camp Buddy upon reach the end of this year! Please take the time to read everything! Hopefully this announcement answers most of the inquiries that you may have!

STORY / SCRIPTWRITING
We've decided to discuss this aspect of the development first as we have been fully focused on working mostly with story and scriptwriting ever since the last major update (October 2017).
We're happy to announce that both Hiro and Hunter's story routes have been completed! Adding to that, we are also halfway in Yoichi's story route!
To give you all a brief idea, we'd like to give you a detailed example!:
Estimation by Playable Days
- Hiro's story route alone contains 18 playable days (29 if various endings are included).
- If we include the first half of the game, playing Hiro's route would have a whooping total of 26 playable days per one full playthrough! (35 if various endings are included).
Estimation by Word Count
- Playing through Hiro's route and reaching one of the game endings would have an estimated amount of 120,000+ words!
- If we include the first half of the game (60,000+ word count), we'll have a total rough estimation of 180,000+ words per one full playthrough!
And that's just talking about Hiro's route! What's awesome is, the same goes for the other character routes! We will try to keep everything balanced, making sure that every character route shines in its own way in terms of the storyline!
What's taking it so long?
We are aware that the process has been taking our team a huge amount of time, and we currently have only three people to work together with the story. We've also tried recruiting several writers in order to speed things up , but unfortunately ving too many people to work on the story would not produce the ideal vision we had for the story. Miscellaneous documentation such as proofreading and cue-placing are all handled by a separate department though! What's most crucial is the execution of the plot into dialogues. We prefer to execute the story just as our team has envisioned it, making storywriting the most meticulous process of the development.
Our solution!
On a brighter side, we have found a solution to improve the pace! Our writing team has developed a new step-by-step method on how we will write story from now on. On top of the new method, we've also modified our schedules in order to put heavier priority to the storywriting process.
With these adjustments, It will now consume up to three days (originally four) to complete writing one in-game day! Once the story is completed, the rest of the development will definitely be faster, and we will be able to declare a reliable release date!

ART
CGs / Scene Images
As mentioned above when we were able to finish Hiro's route, the creation of the new CG scenes came along with it! We were able to determine all the CGs needed in every completed character route, and we have drawn the CG scenes side by side when we were writing the story to guarantee that it's depicted perfectly as intended! Here are some teasers, with the new CGs that have been generated!
We're sorry we really don't want to spoil any more new contents to maximize the actual playing experience. But here's a super low quality of teaser of one of the hottest R-18 CGs in Hiro's route! (all his CGs are hot anyways~)
New Extra Characters + Cameos
On top of the original 15 Character-Cast (15th character being Yuki), a handful of extra characters, and cameo characters have been added to the game. These characters each have specific roles to play to support a certain character route, so please look forward to seeing them in the game!

As previously announced, we're going to feature our new character: Connor Bleufin in this update!
Connor was designed by Jey, our BLits team member and Camp Buddy's programmer!
He has a fisherman's vibe about him, as you can tell with his accessories and the anchor sigil! Connor will only be making a brief appearance in Camp Buddy, but stay tuned - you might see him again in the future! He definitely has a main protagonist vibe, doesn't he? =w=

AUDIO / VIDEO
Music (BGM and Main Theme)
- An extended version of the main theme is currently in the works by Mimi Neko!
- New BGMs / soundtracks composed by MYM have been added into the game (now a total of 32 BGMs)
- The Main Theme has been officially completed since two months ago!
