Tier Rework (Patreon)

I've decided to rework the tiers to be more streamlined, simple and save many of you money. Here are the old tiers and what they're changing into:

Change details

• The biggest change is that all tiers will now give you access to art that was posted before you pledged. Which means that for example, if I post a teaser and then you pledge to the Bronze tier afterwards, you'll still get early access for that piece and don't have to pledge to a higher tier if you don't want to.
• Bronze is otherwise unchanged, you'll now just get access to an archive instead of individual images.
• All of the Silver tier and Art Pack will be combined into the new Silver tier, and will now cost $7 instead of $5/$10.
• The Gold tier will now cost $15 instead of $20. I've been thinking of what to put in this tier for a long time, so I decided to just keep its rewards the same and lower the cost.
• I'll also be changing sales tax info to hopefully save you money.

What does this mean for existing patrons?

With how Patreon works, I can't just change the price of tiers that people are already pledged to. I will have to unpublish the existing Silver, Art Pack and Gold tiers and then publish the new ones. When that happens, the existing patrons from those tiers will be put into Patreon's "custom pledge" tier that has no rewards associated with it. From there, you can switch to one of the new tiers.

The change will happen on the 17th of August. So make sure to swap your pledge then. Remember to always read the tier descriptions and about section before pledging. Because of this change, I won't be releasing any art this week, but I will be releasing three next week after the change. Just so people don't pledge now and then feel cheated when the change happens.

What's happening to Gumroad?

Gumroad will now be almost identical to Patreon besides not being able to participate in polls.
