"Won't You be My Neighbor?" Is the name of the 2018 documentary about Fred Rogers himself, who he was, what he did, his impact on the world, and all of the people, both famous and non-famous who were affected by him. The movie that you just watched, A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood, was *strongly* influenced by that documentary, and I highly, highly, *highly* recommend watching and reacting to that here on your channel if you're interested in learning more about Mr Rogers. (Heck if you don't watch it right away maybe I'll just have to pick it for you 😉) There's also another documentary about Mr Rogers that came out many years ago that I have on DVD, that's hosted by Michael Keaton... Why Michael Keaton? Because Michael Keaton started out his career working on the Mr Roger's Neighborhood show and was a good friend of his. In the meantime, for your enjoyment, here is a brief video of a guy on YouTube who does mini dives into people, talking about the real Mr Rogers https://youtu.be/z966lQ4KZwc

Thank you for post that! This was my request as I had a feeling even if Nick didn't know Mr. Rogers he'd appreciate him as a person, and what he did for people. I was part of the latchkey generation and Mr. Rogers always was on as a calming ending to a stressful day of school. And he always made me feel appreciated, as he says "for just you being you"

Oh and one other little tidbit for you. Usually when movies are going to be made featuring well-known characters or famous people, there's always a debate among fans about whether or not the actor who has been cast to play them is the *right* person for the role. However... When it was announced that a movie about Mr Rogers was going to be made, there was really only ONE name that came to anybody's mind. Considering the type of person that Fred Rogers was, and the fact that Tom Hanks is considered one of the nicest and most liked actors in Hollywood, pretty much everyone universally agreed that not only was he perfect to play him, but that really nobody else could or *should* play him, and people and the media were *thrilled* at the announcement. Media news articles were discussing how great he would be before even a frame of the movie had been shot. Tom Hanks gave an interview around that time where he joked "I'm getting the greatest reviews of my life and I haven't even made the movie yet" 😆
