If you could hear through your screen the sound of me heaving the biggest sigh of relief 😆😆 It wasn't that I didn't think you would like this movie, so much as it was I just wasn't SURE. I was less certain about this movie for you than any other thing that I've picked or given you the option for. I knew it was a really compelling and engaging story, I just didn't know if that would be ENOUGH for you to really like it. Needless to say I'm VERY happy that you wound up liking it as much as you did. A few things: The second prisoner that escaped? The one that helped Richard Kimball at the beginning get out of his leg irons? The one that Kimball told to 'be good'? They DID show him. He was the African American man in the house that was holding one of the deputies at gunpoint and that deputy Gerard shot - the part where you were saying 'they got the wrong guy!' 😁 *Edit* and I forgot to add that deputy Gerard was NOT pointing a gun at the woman who was screaming in that house. Watch the scene again and you'll see that the gun is actually in his other hand. He's just pointing a finger at her when he tells her to shut up. The white bag that deputy Gerard gives Kimball in the car at the end was just one of those chemical ice packs. Gerard was giving it to him for his injuries (another way to show that he was being nice and caring for Kimball, despite his claims of 'not caring'). The reason that you thought Deputy Gerard had such an amazing and compelling presence is because he is played by legendary actor Tommy Lee Jones (NOT the guy who played Homelander 😆), and Tommy Lee Jones is kind of known for having a really commanding presence in every movie he's in. And you HAVE actually seen him in a couple of other things- you saw him when you watched 'No Country for Old Men', and he has a small supporting role in the first Captain America movie. Your opinion of him in this movie is pretty much shared by everyone. Tommy Lee Jones won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in this movie.

Okay Nick so I just responded to your message and now I'm going to post this here: Believe it or not, there is a sequel to this movie. The sequel to 'The Fugitive' is a movie called 'US Marshals' (1998) Now I don't know if you would wind up liking it as much as the first one, but if you liked Tommy Lee Jones's character deputy Samuel Gerard that much, then you probably are going to want to at least check it out. (Personally I think it's a pretty decent sequel things considered) No it doesn't star Harrison Ford. Dr Richard Kimball's story is over. But it does star Tommy Lee Jones who is back as deputy Samuel Gerard as well as the cast of his entire 'cop crew'. They're all back. And the story focuses much more on them, just as much if not more than the escapee that they're trying to find. In my opinion the movie does a good job of changing up the story enough that you don't feel like you're just watching the same thing over again. It's definitely a completely different situation in the second film than Dr Kimball's situation. aaaannnddd.... (you ready for this? You're about to get a lot more intrigued, you ready?😆) The movie also stars a young, pre-'Iron Man' Robert Downey Jr. Yes you heard that right. A full decade before he became iron Man, Robert Downey Jr was in this movie. And not just as a small cameo role either. He plays a significant main character in the movie. So since you did love the Fugitive, and you loved Tommy Lee Jones's character in particular, I'm just letting you know this movie exists, in case you're interested in watching/reacting to it.
