Hey everyone! So didn't realize Gilbert Gottfried played the Parrot in the movie, so apologies I didn't know that!

Thank you very much for taking my advice in choosing to watch this fun movie before skipping ahead to the movie everyone really wants you to watch... Aladdin and the King of Thieves. I know Return of Jafar isn't a well liked movie, but I enjoy it. And you need to watch this one first in order to know why Iago becomes a friend to our heroes. Thank you, Nick! Sincerely, Heidi

Don't feel bad about your lackluster opinion of this one. Honestly, you probably liked it even more than I do. In my mind, the only reason to watch this one is so the audience is familiar with the character arc of Iago (otherwise you would begin watching the third one asking yourself "why is Iago back and why is he suddenly their friend?") And as far as my own personal enjoyment goes, the only thing I genuinely like about this movie is Jafar's 'You're only second rate' song, which is awesome in my opinion. As to why Robin Williams was not in this one - Believe me, Disney did not recast him by choice. From an article about the situation: "When Williams originally agreed to voice Genie, he reportedly came to an agreement with Disney that his voice couldn't be used to sell merchandise. This meant that Disney would not have been able to make toys using Williams' voice or use it to promote any products. However, Williams believed that Disney did not honor this agreement and began airing his grievances with the studio in interviews. The fallout of this feud led to Williams refusing to come back for Aladdin 2." However, Robin eventually decided to let bygones be bygones and agreed to come back for the third one... So be reassured that Robin Williams IS back in the third one. (In fact, in the promo trailers for the third movie that aired on television, that was the very first thing they said - "Robin Williams is back!") And the difference in the humor because of this is drastic and IMMEDIATELY apparent. I genuinely have MANY more laugh out loud moments in the third movie because of Robin then I even had in the first one. So I'm confident that you are, at the very least, going to like the third one more than you did this one.
