I'm so glad you enjoyed this movie, it's one of my favorites for sure. The music, animation, the story itself of course.. So beautiful. Parts of it always make me tear up. You might want to consider the two sequels at some point, too. They're not as beautiful as the first one, as far as animation goes, but their stories still hold meaning. Balto 2 especially. And they still do look good, and, while not as iconic as the first Balto, I still think they're worth a watch. I just watched them both again on New Year's Eve.

Balto 2 is also very great. I feel like the theme of Balto is acceptance. In Balto 2, I believe the theme surrounds identity. It’s very emotional, from what I remember. Side note: if you want a more accurate understanding of the true story this was based off of, Disney recently released (2019) Togo. Balto was a hyped up version of what newspapers were covering at the time. Togo makes up for it by offering another perspective. Togo is live action.
