Great reaction Nick, hadn't seen it in years but its one of those that i can pretty much say every line along with the characters from watching it endlessly as a kid! I think this movie started my love for dogs, disney, musicals and new york. This movie is based on the book Oliver Twist of which there is another amazing movie musical adaptation called Oliver! from 1968. Its not animated, and its a bit closer to the book, being set in London with humans lol. Also has totally different songs and lots of dancing. The voice you recognised from Tito was Cheech Marin of the iconic Cheech and Chong, who voiced Banzai from the Lion King among many others, and the guy who voiced Dodger and did the song you loved is none other than the piano man Billy Joel! Not sure but this might have been the first animated disney movie to feature a huge celeb cast like that, with Bette Midler (Winifred from Hocus Pocus) as Georgette and Dom Deluise as Fagin as well. (and don't worry i always cry in the first few minutes too, that song is so amazing)

I hadn't seen this in quite a while, and my heart needed it. Thanks, Nick. A wonderful, genuine reaction. "Keep your dream alive. Dreaming is still how the strong survive. Once upon a time in New York City."

this movie will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget the first time I saw this movie: my dad took my brother and me to see this at a free event at the public library in the summer and I remember just loving it. after that, I couldn't get enough! that singing voice you loved? that's the one and only Billy Joel haha Why Should I Worry is definitely a bop and my favorite of the movie as well. for someone who has spent many summers in NYC visiting my aunt, I love the beauty and feel of NY captured by the animators. such an underrated Disney classic and so glad you enjoyed it, Nick!

I've always loved this movie. As a kid I watched it every night before bed. I loved Dodger the most and found the dog crew interesting. You make a valid point of different kinds of love and why Oliver chose to stay with the humans.
