Beautiful reaction! There are some people doing reaction videos who I definitely feel are "faking" or over-doing their reactions but you are certainly not one of them. You seem so genuine and honest in your reactions and I want to say thank you for that. Truth be told that's why I follow you here on Patreon. This is such a good movie, and Brie Larson definitely deserved her Oscar. Jacob Tremblay is also fantastic. I believe he was eight, rather than five, but still very much a young child giving a brilliant performance, especially when you consider that they couldn't tell him the full story while they were filming. Another thing I love about this movie is how it trusts the viewer and doesn't over-explain everything. Like with Joy's father, they don't spell it out that he's unable to look at Jack because it's a reminder that his daughter was raped, instead they let the actors and the cinematography do the storytelling. Even though it deals with such a dark subject matter, at its core it's a beautiful love story between mother and child. In the book Ma first had a daughter who died at birth, making Jack even more precious to her and making her even more determined to protect him. She really did a masterful job, despite his horrible living conditions he was a happy well-adjusted child who didn't want for anything. Just goes to show how love and trust and support are what matters most, far more than material things. Again, thanks for a great reaction! This film came out the same year as "Spotlight", if you haven't seen that film I highly recommend it. It also deals with a heavy subject matter and it won the Best Picture Oscar that year, well-deserved IMHO.

I absolutely adore this movie. Thank-you so much for watching it! Your reaction to it was wonderfully beautiful and everything that I could have hoped for. ☺️ The first time that I watched Room, it left me emotionally spent and stayed on my mind for days. The nuanced performances, the story, all of the the little details... everything was put together so well. As you said, you just instantly connect with the characters. One of the most emotional moments for me, is the scene when Joy realizes that she’s going to have to fake Jack’s death, in order to escape. When she cups her hand over her mouth and begins to sob, you can just feel her anguish, desperation and fear at what she has to do. Brie Larson has said that this movie broke her in half. 😭 Again, thank-you for the wonderful reaction. If you aren’t able to edit for YouTube, no problem. 🙂 By the way, I promise that my next selection will be a much lighter faire. I’m thinking ‘slap stick comedy’ light, haha.

This movie is just sooo good, I love how invested you get in the characters - both in this and everything else you watch. This movie is on my list of movies that are absolute masterpieces, but at the same time so heartbreaking and difficult to watch, that you don't want to watch them ever again lol

The same happened to me, haha. When I clicked to open the video, the only thing that was visible was the comments. 😂 I had to close Patreon and reopen it a couple times, then the video showed up. Hope this helps! 🙂
