Love Kanai's confession to Koda. I can never decide whether that's the most powerful song or the one where Kanai realizes that the simple life as a bear could be paradise. By the way, in case someone has you watch the sequel to this, Kanai's tribe is based off of Alaskan natives (probably shortly after the ice age). Concepts like icebergs, waterfalls, and bears are stereotypically seen as things for the State Alaska. The moose are intended to be Canadian moose, hence why they say "eh" a lot. The bear that couldn't speak English I'm thinking was intended to be a Russian bear; although, I don't see how a Russian bear made it to Alaska, unless this was set prior to the continental drift. You can tell it was set really far in the past though, based on the mammoths (those elephant looking animals you saw that had fur). Last I heard, mammoths are extinct. Anyway, I love this movie, so it was great seeing your reaction.

I was 10 years old when this movie came out (2003) when my fourth grade class watched this. My parents later bought it for me on DVD and that was my first introduction to Tina Turner (my all time favorite singer.) *She did the introduction song "Great Spirits." Watching the special features was when I discovered the Bulgarian Women's Choir was featured on the Transformation Song (When Kenai turns into the bear) and the song in English says "Everything will become clear, when you see through, another's eyes..." Beautiful story that combines my culture, my favorite singer, Disney animation, and spiritualism. What more could I ask. Thank You for reviewing this mate!! :)
