Chandler McCoy

This is one of my all time favorites. Characters and their development is one of the strongest points of this entire series. I feel like they made all the characters real and relatable although it's hard to believe this was on nickelodeon lol

BlueDebut

This is the episode that convinced me Zuko is the secondary main character. Not necessarily the protagonist but a large part of the story revolves around him. This is the ONLY episode without Aang in the entire show. Also the structure as Zuko in a Eastwood-esque spaghetti western hero is interesting because he's not a white and black good guy. There's nuance. This starts to flesh him out and bring forth the idea of him as more than just an interesting side character/antagonist and into a primary character in his own right

BlueDebut

It feels like a Leone western to me. Replace Zuko with Eastwood and its identical to A Fistful of Dollars

Katelyn

Iroh send Zuko the knife because he needs it whereas Azula may want the knife, but she doesn’t need it. She’s as violent enough with her firebending when Zuko is not. He sent Azula the doll because it’s not like Iroh can take a stroll and browse through Ba Sing Se stores to find his niece and nephew gifts they may want. He sent them war souvenirs. A doll is a friend and gives them comfort. Even though Iroh was a general, he still didn’t completely change after because Azula called him tea-loving-kookiness. Azula is already a bad friend to them with tendency to jealousy just because Ty Lee executed the move perfectly where Azula struggled. Ursa didn’t play favorites because when Zuko threw the loaf of bread, she scolded at him.
