Mai made the right choice. Siding with Azula was the least dangerous option for everyone, including Tom-Tom. Ty Lee can block a person’s chi. Mai and Ty Lee are more good friends than their friendship with Azula. Bumi was willing to wait and listen for his opportunity to free Omashu, and plus he’s a king. He’s not actually going to leave his city.

Also, here's my analysis of the whole Bumi thing. I think Bumi knows that the most certain way to keep everyone safe is to surrender immediately. This essentially keeps casualties down to zero for both sides. Bumi also knows that he can absolutely do some damage and actually fight, so he is waiting for the perfect moment to strike that will make this as efficient as possible. The overall lesson for Aang is that patience and analysis are key for earth bending. If you'll remember back to his training with Jeong Jeong, Aang is very very impatient and high energy.

I REALLY like the hippies in 2x2 because of the secret tunnel meme and because of the fact they remind me if one of my stoner friends who always made me laugh. Everyone needs a stoner friend to keep themselves humble 😂😂😂
