so Lisa Kudro (Phoebe) was actually pregnant which is why they added the pregnancy to phoebes storyline. Theses past few reactions have been great 😂 FRIENDS never fails to make me laugh so many great moments.

I appreciate the way that this episode (especially at the time) handled the different perspectives on giving a baby to other people. The one thing that the character of Phoebe's birth mother failed to realize though is that being a surrogate is not at all the same as giving babies away for adoption. While the latter is very difficult for a number of reasons, the former is somewhat emotionally easier in the sense that a surrogate carrier knows from the start that the baby in their body isn't actually theirs.
