I'll play around to reduce the "zoomed in" effect to the sides of it, but this roughly how we'll handle maps ingame!

And this is how it's done:

  • Bound to items! You'll have to obtain the "Surface Stratum Map" before you can use this function.
  • Seamlessly switching between map and player view (bound to the M key, completely mappable like every other keyboard control).
  • Flashing icons to show discovered places of interest and characters, possibly showing nodes and fishing spots with upgrades.
  • The final one will hide the climate and stop time progression while in map mode, so you can view it without worrying about monsters and other events while browsing it.

I'm pretty satisfied with it, could also be used to run a sort of "preload" of the map and avoid other hiccups while walking around, I'll have to test it thoroughly 👍
