Hmmmm, isn’t a Satyr male and the female a nymph? The Flautist appears to have breasts. Of course there are men with breasts, but usually not so skinny. Nice sculpt, just an odd take on a male.

Oh, hey! Wrong post probably, but yeah, while in mythology Satyr is a male, in 5e there's a playable race called Satyr that can be anything you want, not just male. While there's no Nymph race, Dryad is very similar to Nymph, and once again it can be anything you wish other than female

Derek Read

While the Romans effectively invented the satyr you are correct they had no female version (I assume that's your take on this). Roman nymphs, though magical, are also unrelated to Roman satyrs. However: search for "satyress". These were an invention that appeared in artwork starting (I think) in the middle ages. There are quite a few middle age examples in statue form but perhaps the most famous (because of the artist) would be the one included by Michelangelo in "A Children's Baccanal": https://www.rct.uk/collection/912777/a-childrens-bacchanal (see bottom left of that painting). Having said that, in fantasy anything goes and I think they are pretty common in modern fantasy (as an image search will show).

Oh, very nice resource! Didn't actually know that they go so far back. I mostly based mine on D&D sources, but this is pretty solid too!

Plus with the satyr as a playable D&D 5e race, it is nice to have a few models of female satyrs

YourNeighborKnight

Yeah! especially since one of the Critical Role characters actually is a Female Satyr. I think it's something that should be encouraged. Every race must have a choice
