this one was a bit harder to write, I knew the middle part but didn't know what to write at the begining and at the end. Aaand I still don't know if I used "mumble" right or if I should've used moan/humming/grunt/... so if you have any suggestions please tell me 💙

And now... to the story!

*yawn*
Orb gets out of his room and meet his friends in the kitchen.
-So, what are we gonna do today?
Nilce is scrolling through her phone while drinking a big mug of coffee.
-It's the city anniversary, everything is closed today.
Pink is eating breakfast while looking at something on his notebook.
-There's a pool on the ground floor of the building, we could go there.
Orb gets excited.
-Ooh! a pool! Let's do a diving contest! the losers pay today's lunch to the winner!
nilce smiles a bit but doesn't look away from her phone.
-You two can go, I don't think it's a good idea diving with my antlers.
After finishing the breakfast and changing clothes the three go down to the ground floor and in to the pool area. Nilce slowly gets on the water. Orb looks at Pinky with child eyes.
-LET'S GO! I go first!
He runs to the pool but slips his foot and falls completely flat on the ground, slowly sliding into the pool. Pink after a short silence asks Nilce:
-Is... is he ok?
-He has gills so I don't think he will drown.
-No, I mean...
But Pink is interrupted by Orb floating on the water, with a scream of pain muffled by the water.
-Orb are you ok?
"mm-hmm" Orb mumbles in an affirmative pain tone.
-Are you sure?
After a short silence Orb lets a negative mumble followed by sobs and slowly submerge to the bottom of the pool.
-I think he'll be fine, go on.
But before Pink starts some bubbles emerge from where Orb is with some incomprehensible phrase.
-What did he say?
-I think he said "caution, slippery when wet."
Pink let a small giggle out with a bit of embarrassment.
-Yep, he'll be fine...
Pink then starts running... running? A lifeguard would call it running while everyone else would call it fast walking. But pink did it, and he didn't slip. He reached the edge of the pool and jumped getting his legs and arms as close to hid body as he could.
Water splashed everywhere including on Nilce which had to turn her face away. Orb finally felt good enough to get up to the surface.
-I think we have a clear winner here.
Orb says with a remnant of pain in his voice but realizes Pink's face is red and partially submerged and asks worried.
-Pink? Are you ok? Did you get hurt too?
-That's not it. I-I mean, I'm fine, it's just...
Nilce reaches Pink's side and grabs something floating.
-Hoho, what's this?
Nilce shows Pink's green shorts above her head like a trophy.
-N-Nilce, could you give me that back please?
-What's the problem, Pink? It's not like you are naked now anyway.
The silence is set. Orb quickly gets his head underwater and up again.
-WHY AREN'T YOU WEARING TRUNKS?
Pink gets completely flushed and submerges letting only his snout out.
-I-I didn't b-bring them and I-I didn't wanted m-my underwear to get wet, aaaahh!!!
As Pink was about to sink to the bottom of the pool with embarrassment Nilce hands his shorts back.
-Here, here, take it.
As Pink gets his shorts back on, Orb starts to think out loud.
-You know, it would be cool to skinny dip though...
