From what I remember, "blue moon" means madness in American folklore. "gotta blue moon in your eye" in the song means that the character might not care anymore and then goes to get a gun. Also! The dream scenes in The Sopranos are probably inspired by David Lynch's show, Twin Peaks.

Christopher shooting the guy in the foot is a callback to Tommy shooting Spider in the foot in Goodfellas. The actor that plays Christopher also played Spider. :)

Dreams are a giant part of the Sopranos. I think every season has one or two episodes where dreams are a major part of the story they tell. It's really one of the cool things of the show.

The bakery guy is even wearing the same kind of shirt Spider was wearing. Always thought that was a nice touch. Plus, the Goodfella's reference at dinner with Melfi's family always cracks me up.

It's funny how Samantha is so triggered by Christopher's character.. I mean, for myself in this 1st season I always just looked at as a stupid kid doing dumb shit.. with no direction or self awareness but has the potential to change.. I don't know, I think Jennifer Melfi would say.. this something that needs to be broken down and analyzed a little more.. nah just kidding.. fun stuff Daniel & Samantha.. 👍

The FBI is going to be a recurring presence during the show. Like you said, it's only season one. The thing about the FBI raid is that kicking down the door and tossing the whole house would only hurt them. You don't want to antagonize a guy who you might have to try and flip later. Also, they know that Tony has most likely gotten rid of all the blatantly incriminating evidence. He's not going to be Karen in 'Goodfellas' flushing a bunch of cocaine down the toilet. And Tony has money and can hire lawyers who would make sure that the search warrant was executed perfectly.
