So interesting watching a functional, loving couple react to a film centered around a dysfunctional, toxic couple. Hereditary is child's play in comparison to this film. At the end of the day I don't lose sleep worrying about demonic possession. Everything in this film could and probably has happened. At least Dani gets a happy ending? Kudos to both of you for seeing it through to the bitter end.

I'm swedish, and I remember that there was a couple of months after this film was released when each time someone heard where I was from commented in the style of: "Woah, Midsommar!". 😂 Great reaction as always - I would heavily recommend the 1973 film The Wicker Man, which bears a strong resemblance to Midsommar plotwise. It also has Christopher Lee (Dracula, Saruman etc.) in it.

The first viewing is pretty disturbing but the second time you see it more as a dark comedy
