Two new Autumn Lake images are available in the Autumn Lake Sketchbook folder!

These two new images comprise of multiple drawing—part of my work to figure out the look and style of this new series. (autumnLake_skPre_c and autumnLake_skPre_d in the folder)

The first 10-page story is in development, and I think I mentioned this (perhaps on Discord), but the rough draft and layouts are really, really good, and I can’t wait to get to these finished pages to all of you! Even if it’s a little late, I still hope this will make a fine Christmas present for you wonderful smutty souls🎄 🎁

Now that the fun stuff is out of the way, let’s talk boring stuff!

I wanted to share some insight on this, because… I don’t know, maybe somebody finds it interesting 😂

For me, starting a project, deciding on a look, designing characters… these are all the things that take the longest. When it comes to planning, writing, and understanding a new project, I tend to be very methodical and deliberate. I like to think (read, convince myself) that these same drawbacks that make the work take longer sometimes also help me create a setting that people are excited to engage with—but perhaps I’m just making excuses for myself 😂

That said, the Autumn Lake setting exists in the same universe as Spring Valley but as a series it has a completely different tone. This setting comprises of new characters, new stories, and for the most part, new themes that we haven’t really touched on before. In endeavouring to launch this new setting, one of my primary considerations has been to develop a method of working on comic pages that doesn’t take so long to produce—but also doesn’t look cheap. Illustrating Good Girls stories takes a long time. My style is also slow and deliberate and I tend to put a lot of focus on things that probably don’t matter like very smooth coloured lines and meticulous compositions (with varying degrees of success lol. You can get an idea for how Autumn Lake will look in the new sketches I posted.

I hope those of you who are interested in the Autumn Lake series are okay with the new look. I‘m hoping to capture some of the vitality of my sketch work in these lines, and hopefully as I develop this style further, it won’t look so cheap. I can tell you with confidence though that these images take a fraction of the time to produce as a Good Girls page, so hopefully as I work on Autumn Lake stories, it will become a series that I can develop lots of content for regularly without consuming too much of time from our regular content 😋 I can even see this style extending over into other stories as I develop it further and learn to get the most out of it 😋

So there you go, there’s the interesting stuff and the boring stuff! The Autumn Lake comic is in development, new XXXmas sketches are on the way, and I still have to decide whether the end of this month will be devoted to new Coconut Cream Pie pages or to finishing Autumn Lake—but all that will become apparent very soon.

Thank you as always for your support, and if you read this whoooole thing. Wow, double thank you. I can’t wait to show you all the new story!
