What is Everyone's Girlfriend Evelyn?

Everyone's Girlfriend Evelyn is an interactive animation project. The goal is to create a Virtual Girlfriend with dating sim and dress up elements starring my favourite Good Girl, Evelyn Tran. To this end, I'm breaking down development into smaller milestones so I can easily communicate and share my progress, goals and delivery dates.

How are we building this project?

Art assets are created in Clip Studio and Photoshop. Assets are then animated and exported using Spine Editor. Everything will be put together in Game Maker Studio 2 to create a proper interactive experience.

Where are we starting?

The first step in creating our virtual girlfriend project is animating Evelyn. This includes spending time creating assets for animation, learning how to animate in Spine Editor, and assembling everything.

I've so far drawn, rigged and animated elements of Evelyn's head, and have provided some simple expressions for her. Progress has been fast, and at this stage I'm moving through milestones quickly!

What's next?

I've included a simple animated gif of Evelyn's head, and I'm working on more, similar animated expressions to share here. Some expressions will require more complex rigs than others. Upcoming animated expressions include some sultry selections, like lip-biting and ahegao - which will be a little more complex, but will totally be worth it.

If there are any other facial expressions you'd like to see animated, please let me know! Maybe ideas for emojis? I think these animations might be a little too big and won't translate well into little animated discord emojis, but I'd love to make that happen if anyone has any ideas!

With Evelyn's head rigged, and with different animations available, it'll be time to move onto drawing, animating, and rigging a default idle pose for her body. I'm definitely gonna be reaching out for input when we reach that stage, so watch for updates!
