God Of Fire (Patreon)

I don't think I posted this either. I made for a charity page I run, highlighting the absurdity of our worship of carcinogenic fire and smoke. I mean we've known since at least since the 1700's (John Evelyn commented in "Fumifugium", 1661, ironically 5 years before The Great Fire of London, on the terrible pollution in London. He was probably dismissed because he couldn't spell 'Aer and Smoak'.) that smoke causes disease and smoking cigarettes is banned in the workplace in the UK but you can go into so many restaurants/pubs and be bombarded by smoke from fires then you go outside and have to walking through thick toxic smoke on the way home. It's just insane! I lost my mother to lung cancer and while she was in the hospital they had all the windows open to let in 'fresh' air yet the air outside was filled with woodsmoke, which is known to cause cancer and damager the immune system making women with breast cancer 80% more likely to die from it (all cancers on average 22% more likely to die). Just madness. Makes me despair so much! Smoke kills people it shouldn't be seen as a green, trendy pastime!
