You can take it literal, the story of a child wanting attention so pretends to be dead only to be buried and later saved. Many like to use symbolism and metaphors with this song. Ive heard many. One being, the idea of a suffering alone not getting any result and the person eventually doing something about it ,the music box representative of their voice/actions whatever and the freeing from the coffin representative of releasing those trapped feelings with the help of others. Ive read the "hop hop rider" bit used as symbolism for child abuse. Many iterations. Its whatever you want to take from it really

The "robot voice" is actually Khira Li, Richards oldest daughter with a voice mod. The hop hop rider part is a German nursery rhyme, traditionally sung by the father whilst bouncing the child on his knee up and down like the rider of a horse
