I haven’t really been talking about the tempest shoot in great details because I have been mostly just dropping little comments in the individual postS. Usually, I like to save the long winded stories for the entire album, because seeing all of the shots together floods my memory with all the experiences of the shoot.

that said I do want to talk about how doing outdoor locations can be really tricky because you never know if the environment is going to cooperate with you. During the tempest shoot, we got there while the sun was up and had every intention of only shooting with the beautiful blue sky. Because location shoots can be so time consuming, we quickly started to realize that the sun was setting and we were running out of time. The sun tends to set pretty quick here so once that started we only have about 20 mins.

Lucky for me, Shaun is an incredible photographer and was able to not only get some great sunset shots, but was also able to get me to do into the water when is was nearly pitch black. The photos looks well lit, but that’s only because of the flash. I tired really hard to hide the misery but I think you can tell that as the photos get darker, my… um… “character” gets more angry.

Oh well, it was absolutely worth it and I can’t wait till I have more to share!

I don't know the character, but a tempest is wild, chaotic, and often times angry. You've definitely captured the essence of a tempest, shy of upset waters.

The character perfectly matches the environment. Great photos per usual
