Every now and then I go through all my photos and try to organize them/delete them/use it as a tool to procrastinate but in a productive (ish) way. Durring this trip through the camera roll I found these…dare I say fabulous (I don’t dare) photos of when the golf course I worked at asked me to be in their dinner theatre/murder mystery as “Lenny Lightloafer”. I’m not saying it was type casting but it may have been type castings.
The character was the personal assistant of a woman who’s wealthy husband was killed and it was a lot of fun to get the chance to just let that side of myslef pour out. In retrospect I feel like the character was actually pretty problematic and it’s clear most of the jokes and laughs were directed AT the character rather than with him. All these straight old white people were laughing so hard but now I can’t help but think it was more of a “hahaha gay people say the silliest things” kinda way.
Oh well, I still had fun living my tacky stereotyped life as Lenny Lightloafer.
