Not gonna lie, I don't really like their kids or Annelie since her character has remained static and nothing was actually gain or altered due to her experience (not the husband die the slavery thing, she wasn't interesting when she was introduced aside from the other ice wielder who is never mentioned again). Her Uncle though the chain user still feels like a gem and promising individual to look forward to.

Annelie doestn't really need to be interesting because she isn't really a major character. I'm sure Halosty could make her interesting if he wanted to. But currently, she's really just the piece that connects Anishka to Anton, and Anishka is shaping up to be fairly interesting.
