Good (Hair) News and Mediocre (Hair) News (Patreon)

Hey all!

The good news is the Storm sim worked as well as I had hoped.  It's a tad floaty, but the self-collisions and volume preservation is perfect and much improved over any hair sims I've done in the past.  See the attached preview.

The mediocre news is that the sim crashed during the night because the hard drive became completely full.  Over 75 gigabytes of hair particle data(!).  Almost half of the animation was completed before it died.  I converted all of this particle data to her actual wig model which takes up a lot less space.  Now I can delete the raw particle data and sim the rest.  I cleared more space on the drive so I should be able to coast to the finish line for the rest of the sim.

In other news, six of the nine components have arrived for the new computer.  The case and CPU are not here yet.  More to come!
