Colour WIP: The Golden Feather (Patreon)

I need to get y'all some content~! So here's a rough WIP that I've had going for quite awhile for what would become my longest TF sequence. It's going to slowly fade from sketch through to the end where it'll be vivid watercolor and ink, like a page from an old story book. 

I've always loved the more monstrous and beastly depictions of griffons that was common in the 80's and earlier, styled after medieval bestiaries. Jim Henson did one as a muppet in The Storyteller episode "The Luck Child" and I've been enamored with the Gryphon from "Sir Toby Jingle's Beastly Journey" by Wallace Tripp in '76 (he was easily one of my favorite illustrators and I loved those books as a kid) which is kinda where I was coming from stylistically here.
